The objective of the Swire Finance Programme is to develop high performing, high potential individuals into future senior finance leaders who share our common set of values. On the Programme, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different industries, countries and cultures. With job rotations every few years, extensive training and development and support, you’ll never stop learning. 

Job rotations 
We exclusively recruit experienced, qualified finance professionals onto the Swire Finance Programme. You’ll join the programme at level two as a Team Leader or level three Operational Leader, depending on your experience. You’ll encounter diverse and challenging roles across the breadth of the Public and Private Swire companies. You can expect to work in different industries, finance specialisations and locations. You are expected to spend time overseas in different countries but the majority of time will be spent in HKSAR and Chinese mainland. We’ll work with you to tailor your learning experience on the programme. Every few years, you’ll experience different job rotations which will take your preferences and aspirations into consideration. 

Training and development
We offer a comprehensive mix of experiential leadership training, functional and language training.  You’ll also have the opportunity to attend training at renowned business schools such as INSEAD in Singapore and France. You’ll benefit from mentoring by our senior leaders who will provide you with an objective, independent and unbiased source of support and guidance.  You’ll also have dedicated Career Coach who will support you as you work towards your career aspirations.

Career progression 
The stronger your performance and potential, the faster you will rise through the ranks. Each role will bring new challenges that will stretch you and help push you to grow. On the programme, you're expected to reach at least General Manager level. If you're a top performer, you could someday become Finance Director or CFO of one of our businesses. How quickly you get there depends on your potential, drive and determination to succeed. Along the way, you will get regular feedback, so that you know your strengths and refine your development areas.

Eligibility criteria
  • Business and commercial acumen and the aspiration to become a Finance Director.
  • Intellectually curious and with strong learning agility.
  • Strong leadership potential.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and culturally adaptable.
  • Driven and takes initiative.
  • Qualified accountants (HKICPA, CICPA, ICAA, ICAEW, USCPA, ICAS, CICA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience to join at either Team Leader or Operational Leader level.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Other language skills, especially Cantonese and Putonghua, an advantage.
  • Geographically mobile. A career with Swire is likely to require spending time overseas in different countries but the majority of time will be spent in HKSAR and Chinese mainland.
